Jellyfish in the classroom

Jellyfish Art teamed up with elementary school teacher, Brandon Rutherford (2013 New Teacher of the Year) to talk to educators about the benefits of aquariums in the classroom.

In an effort to broaden our reach and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards, Jellyfish Art has created the Jellyfish Art Education Initiative!  The Jellyfish Art team spoke with over 1,200 educators at the 2015 National Science Teacher Association Conference in Chicago last week and needless to say we were humbled by the attention and positive comments we received.  We heard it all, from teachers who were in disbelief that the jellies in our desktop-sized aquariums were real to salt and pepper-haired seasoned educators who were in awe over an educational tool they had never seen before to the convention center crew who shared with us that their morning routine began by sitting silently and watching the soothing pulse of the jellies.  Thank you #NSTA2015 for making the debut of our Jellyfish Art Education Initiative a memorable one!
