Eating Jellyfish

Jellyfish salad is a delicacy in some Asian countries. The tissue has a rubbery texture and can be cooked with soy sauce or sesame oil. Jellyfish are almost completely free of cholesterol, calories, saturated fats and carbohydrates and high in protein and collagen.

Like most exotic foods, a bit of extra care is often needed. With jellyfish it is important to keep them stored in the refrigerator. It is also important to keep cooked and raw jellyfish apart from each other. Even though they are mostly water, they are able to hold the same type of bacteria as other meats.
